In the era of globalization, supporting local solutions sends a strong signal—in addition to offering concrete benefits: support in French, better understanding of local legislation, adapted integrations, responsiveness, etc.

During the ShopiShopaShow Apps Edition , I was able to meet, exchange and discuss with 12 Shopify applications "Made in France".
Here are 12 Shopify apps developed by French teams, each with a focus on what makes it a great fit for your e-commerce site. Feel free to try them out and share your thoughts in the comments!
1. Baback (return/exchange management)
Baback offers a complete solution for automating returns, exchanges, credit notes, and refunds. Customers have access to a white-label portal to initiate returns, while merchants manage returns through a logistics interface.
At Pikka, we use Baback for several clients in the ready-to-wear sector, a sector with a lot of returns and no customer would go back! The entire Baback team is constantly looking for solutions for its customers and strives to offer the best return experience for Internet users.

What stands out : widely used in France, with integrations with local carriers, and a “French e-commerce” orientation.
Strengths : simplification of the return process, reduction of errors or abandonment due to complicated returns, saving time on manual management.

2. Regulo (invoicing & accounting compliance)
Regulo is a Shopify app that automates the creation of invoices and credit notes that comply with French and European standards.
It automatically generates invoices for each order, manages returns via credit notes, and allows accounting exports (FEC).
As you might expect, with the arrival of electronic invoicing and the structural weakness of other applications on this subject, Regulo is a real hit with Pikka's customers. It's therefore a pleasure to meet them and talk with them at events like this.

Strengths : compliance with French tax obligations (VAT, legal notices), integrated accounting export, invoices accessible by the customer via their account or email.

3. DQE (customer data quality)
DQE (Data Quality Engine or equivalent) helps validate/correct customer input data (address, phone number, email, postal code) in real time. Its goal is to reduce errors (undelivered orders, returns, abandonments).
Every mistake is indeed costly for a merchant: shipping costs paid for nothing, return costs (often) and an after-sales service order in the majority of cases.
If data formatting errors are common in your online store, then go ahead and try DQE!

Strengths : improved form quality, reduced data entry errors, improved reliability of contacts for marketing or logistics.

4. Sensefuel (search engine / merchandising)
Sensefuel is an intelligent search solution, coupled with merchandising (prioritization, suggestions, advanced filters).
It allows us to offer more relevant search results, even in the case of typos or synonyms, which is useful for a French site with its linguistic particularities.

Strengths : personalization via AI, machine learning, product prioritization according to objective (margin, stock, promotion).

5. Simio (WhatsApp marketing/automations)
Simio allows you to use WhatsApp as a marketing or notification channel (cart abandonment, alerts, campaigns) and to set up chatbots / automations.

Strengths : very direct channel, often more “read” than email, possibility of engaging via conversation.

6. WideBundle (bundles / bundled offers)
WideBundle allows you to create bundles, buy one get one promotions, custom packs, etc. There are many bundle applications on Shopify since Shopify officially supported them (a few years ago). However, WideBundle offers everything you need to boost your average basket and make your Shopify store more profitable. So, give it a try.
Strengths : Increased average basket size, incentives for additional purchases, ease of creating bundles without coding.

7. StoreCommander (mass catalog editing)
StoreCommander is a French app that competes with Matrixify but offers a more user-friendly table interface for massively modifying products: prices, descriptions, images, metadata, etc.
The goal is to be able to quickly manage changes that would otherwise take hours.

Strengths : Huge time savings for large catalogs, filtering/selection, simultaneous modifications.

8. Fourseeds (CDP & omnichannel loyalty)
Fourseeds is an omnichannel-focused customer data management platform (CDP) + integrated loyalty engine.

It allows you to centralize customer data (Shopify, CRM, analytics, points of sale) and activate loyalty, segmentation and marketing automation programs.
Strengths : customization of loyalty scenarios (points, statuses, rewards), cross-channel activation (online + physical store), native integrations with Shopify.
9. Blym (SEO content & editorial automation)
Blym is an automatic/assisted SEO content creation tool specifically designed for e-commerce.
It offers a complete workflow: from generating topic ideas, to planning, to the final optimized text, all aligned with the brand voice.
The goal is to be able to write articles faster than with a copywriter, but also with better quality than on Chatgpt. If you've ever used Shopify's AI, you know that not everything is perfect when writing articles.

Strengths : time saving to produce content (blog, product sheets, collection pages), implicit SEO optimization, consistency of tone and reusable structure.
10. Crisp (chat & customer support)
Crisp is a messaging / chat / customer support solution (live chat + bot + ticketing). The goal is to create a kind of chatbot that will be able to respond to your customers quickly and automatically to many after-sales service requests. You will save time and improve the quality of response processing.
Strengths : centralization of conversations (site, email, networks), automation of responses, real-time monitoring of visitors, proactive engagement.

11. GLS
The official GLS France app connects your store to GLS: creating labels, tracking numbers sent to the customer, choosing relay points, and managing returns. This saves time on operations and improves the customer experience (home or relay delivery, clear tracking).

This app is a must-have if you ship to France and want ultra-clean integration with this carrier.

12. Wishlist Power
Wishlist Power is an application created by the Shopify agency Maestroo, which is extremely well-known on Shopify because it publishes the Focal and Prestige themes and is certainly the agency that sells the most Shopify themes in the world.
The "Wishlist Power" app allows visitors to create, save, and share wishlists on your Shopify store.

Strengths : promotes engagement (customer “saves” products), reminders (email on products on wishlist), overview of most desired products.
Things to watch out for : plan limits (number of wishlist items), real incentive to return, compatibility with theme or shopping cart apps.
