Do you always like to do the same daunting, repetitive tasks with very little added value? Of course not… But maybe you don't have the development skills to automate all that? Well, it is now possible to program routines and automatic tasks to automate all this with tools like Zapier .
What is Zapier?
Zapier indeed offers to create “zaps” , this is the name of the small scripts that you will create. Don't worry, you don't need to know any programming language to get there. You will need some logic and some reading time to understand the different zap.
To put it simply, a zap will connect two systems and transfer one or more information between them.
For example, if you receive an email with an attached invoice, you can save it automatically in a dropbox or on Google drive, in the folder of your choice, or even by renaming the file or folder.
The main idea behind Zapier, or its friend Integromat , is obviously to save you as much time as possible and to limit repetitive and automatable tasks.
Zapier is an “old timer” on the web because the company was founded in 2011, more than 10 years ago! At that time, we were not yet talking about No-code but yet, Zapier may have been the first Nocode company in the world.
The benefits of Zapier
The big advantage of Zapier is therefore to be able to automate everything and anything, provided that the connector exists. Indeed, Zapier does not offer the ability to create API calls. It is primarily intended for people who prefer to read a bit of non-technical documentation and do not want to do any programming at all.

There are several thousand ready-to-use connectors and of course ready-made “recipes”.
For Shopify for example, there are several applications such as:
- Create a line in a Google Sheet file for each new order (super useful for creating automatic reporting)
- Send a message on Slack when a customer places an order
- Create an invoice in an invoicing tool, like QuickBooks, with every order
- Add each new customer automatically to Zendesk
There are literally thousands of ready-made ideas on Zapier's site that should save you some time. And we know that time is a commodity that many e-commerce managers lack.
Zapier Price
But then if Zapier is so great, it must be extremely expensive? Well no. Already because there is a free, albeit limited, version of Zapier. enough to practice with a few stains.
And if you want to get serious, Zapier pricing starts from $18 per month.
And if you really have a lot of tasks to automate, to synchronize more than two million items per month, it will only cost you “about” 2000 dollars. Admittedly, this is the price of a Shopify Plus license but it is above all much cheaper than any custom development to automate your entire business. And then there are a large number of intermediate offers at Zapier so no worries.
